2012 Intercounty Finals

Congratulations to the Yorkshire Adult County Teams for their success in the Adult Inter County Finals held at AMF Nottingham last weekend.

The men were victorious bringing home the Gold Medals, the ladies were slightly less successful in finishing second. From information received from a number of supporters who were at the event, scoring was not easy and both our teams did exceptionally well in being so successful.

Jack Smith manager of the men’s team told me on Monday night how proud he was of the men’s team and praised them for being without doubt the best TEAM in the competition. He commented that he was so impressed with the professionalism, dedication and application of the team and was particularly impressed with the team ethic they exhibited all weekend. Jack has asked for the attached letter from him to his players to be published as well as a copy sent to all the men’s team.

I know the ladies will be disappointed in finishing second behind their old rivals Surrey again but result is not a disgrace but is an excellent outcome. On a very positive note, the deficit to the Surrey team was less than 100 pins, an awful lot closer than it has been in the past.

Well done ladies, next year you will have them.
